Well, somehow it became 2022! Crazy.

Upon reflection, 2021 personally has been hard, but I strive forward having got to know myself better and with the hope that 2022 will bring more laughter and a heck of a lot more art and shenanigans. I have been in an art block for the last couple of years really, hence the kaleidoscopes and patterns rather than anything of substance. I just found it chilled my head out. It has been nice to get some works done, even if I didn’t end up being the glitter fuelled creative tornado I had imagined. There’s still time and I look forward to it when it comes about.

I have been working on a couple of projects, I have been doing some album artwork which is due to release in Feb 2022. It’s for Grasslands who is a Musician/Producer and ecologist who fuses alternative rock, found sounds, and electronica. It will be released on Bandcamp here. His stuff is ace and he’s a lovely guy too so you should totally check him out 🙂 I will update on here when we have a date.

I have also just started working on my next book again which I am writing and illustrating, ‘when the world feels too big’ It’s a children’s mental health book, with tips on dealing with big feelings. I have had it refereed by parents and teachers and have had some amazing feedback, but it has been on hiatus over 2021 really so I have committed myself to get it published in 2022. My son keeps asking me to read my draft text to him and has basically told me to get my arse in gear. I have promised and everything.

Here’s the artwork that sums up my 2021 – Dead Tree Cat Blues, not in a mardy/emosh way, He’s cute right?….. I would give him a tickle. He’s just a bit misunderstood.

Anyhow, I hope that 2022 treats you with kindness and take care out there!

Thanks for stopping by.
